Demon Slayer became best selling manga beating One piece in 2019.

One Piece has been topped the ranking of best selling manga since 2008 ten years in a row but in 2019 Demon Slayer done the impossible thing by becoming best selling manga series in Japan.

Created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1997. The manga follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they attempt to obtain the titular "One Piece." As of writing, there are over 900 chapters of One Piece. The manga was later adapted into an anime, which is currently in its twentieth season.
Koyoharu Gotouge's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba started its run in 2016 and has already racked up nearly 200 issues. The manga was adapted into an anime earlier this year. The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's will return with a film Demon Slayer: Infinity Train Arc in 2020.
